TV Nova brought home a total of three awards from this year's edition of the prestigious industry competition LEMUR – Czech Public Relations Award. The jury, composed of communication and PR experts, recognized the television's projects in categories focused on corporate communication, employee relations, and internal communication tools. The campaign for the acclaimed Voyo Original miniseries, as well as activities directed within the company, achieved success.
In the Corporate and Crisis Communication category, TV Nova won second place for its communication strategy for the series Markovič Method: The Shrike. The project, subtitled “True crime with a clear conscience,” focused on the ethical aspects of processing real crime cases. Part of the strategy included the establishment of a specialized Ethical Panel and conducting an open dialogue with the victims' relatives, which was to ensure a sensitive approach to both the promotion and the content of the series itself.
The station secured another silver medal in the Employee Relations Building category with the ‘Tornado of Help’ project. This aimed at supporting corporate volunteering through the Volunteer Days Fair. According to published data, this initiative led to a 30% year-on-year increase in the utilization of volunteer days among television employees. The project thus confirmed the growing interest in corporate social responsibility within large media houses.
Successful participation in the competition concluded with third place in the Communication Tools category, awarded to the internal newsletter Nova NEWS. This tool serves to keep employees informed about news across the entire group and is a key element in connecting individual departments of the television. According to station representatives, these recognitions are an important indicator of the quality of their communication work.
“Three medals confirm that our work has an impact both within the company and externally,” the television stated in an official announcement regarding the competition results.
The LEMUR competition (formerly the Czech PR Award) is organized by the Public Relations Association (APRA). Its goal is to annually highlight projects that demonstrate the highest level of creativity, strategic thinking, and real impact on target groups in the field of public relations in the Czech Republic.
