TV Nova will launch this year's edition of its educational project Week for the Future on Monday, June 1st. The format, which will run until June 7, 2026, focuses on practical advice for everyday life, household savings, and strengthening community relations. Content will appear across all of the group's platforms, including main news, morning broadcasts, and the Oneplay streaming service.
The project is conceived as a series of thematic days designed to inspire viewers to make small but effective changes in their lifestyle. According to station representatives, the goal is not to moralize, but rather to show ways to adapt to current social and economic challenges.
“We built the project around topics that are close to our viewers. We don't want to lecture anyone or make people feel guilty. On the contrary, we want to inspire that even a small change can help them tremendously - so why not do it smartly," explains Marek Vácha, TV Nova's sustainable development manager.
The program block kicked off with the theme of upbringing and parenting, followed by days dedicated to local food and sustainable cooking. Wednesday will focus on micromobility and safety in public spaces with an emphasis on pedestrians and cyclists. Thursday's program will then offer specific guides for energy savings in households and effective management of family budgets.
The end of the week will be marked by nature protection and social cohesion. As part of World Environment Day (June 5), the television will focus on the Czech landscape and reducing plastic waste. Weekend broadcasts will then conclude with reports on volunteering, neighborhood help, and stories of people who help in crisis situations, such as floods or fires.
Thematic contributions will appear in the programs Snídaně, Televizní noviny, Víkend, and in the economic and social program Nastartujme Česko on TN Live. The Nova group will also use its digital channels and social networks for interaction with viewers, who will be able to nominate personalities from their surroundings for awards for merits in community life.
