In April 2026, TV Nova officially joined the Charter against Domestic Violence. This step follows the production of the new mini-series Monyová, which maps the tragic life story of the well-known Brno writer Simona Monyová. By signing the charter, the television committed not only to media education but also to implementing internal support mechanisms for its own employees who might become victims of violence in their private lives.
Part of the commitment is the creation of a network of internal contact persons and the establishment of preventive measures within the company's HR policy. The television plans educational activities and an internal communication campaign, with moderator Bára Divišová becoming the face and ambassador of the entire project. According to television representatives, the goal is to actively contribute to solving the problem of domestic violence and to open this topic for discussion in society in the long term.
The initiative is closely linked to a charity event in Brno. On April 28, a pre-premiere of the first episode of the Monyová series will take place at Cinema City Špalíček. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the ROSA organization, which is a co-founder of the aforementioned charter and specializes in helping victims of domestic violence. Visitors to the event will be able to meet the main actors, Tereza Ramba and Kryštof Hádek, and participate in a discussion with the project creators.
“By joining the Charter, TV Nova intends to continuously address the issue of domestic violence and actively contribute to its resolution.”
The television series will launch on the Oneplay streaming platform on May 15, 2026. The fictional project will be followed in June by a documentary titled Láska nebolí (Love Doesn't Hurt), which aims to further contextualize the issue and provide deeper insight into the reality of intimate partner abuse. Through this combination of fictional and documentary content, the television underlines its intention to use the reach of its media to raise awareness of socio-pathological phenomena.
The Charter against Domestic Violence, which Nova signed, brings together entities that oppose tolerance of violence and offer a helping hand to victims. Cooperation with the ROSA organization is intended to ensure the professional guarantee of information that will be provided to viewers and employees as part of the campaign.
