T-Mobile is launching a new security service called Inline Security, designed for the corporate customer segment. The system focuses on protecting mobile internet and identifying cyber threats in real-time. Unlike common solutions that use lists of blocked websites, this technology analyzes complete data flows without the need to install software on end devices.
The protection mechanism involves evaluating technical parameters of traffic, such as speed, type, or frequency of requests. This allows the system to detect malicious code or objectionable content before it reaches an employee's mobile phone or tablet. The operator declares that the content of the communication itself is not decrypted, thus preserving user privacy.
“Inline Security enables companies to protect all corporate mobile devices without IT department intervention and to have an overview of security incidents across the entire mobile base,” states Zdeněk Grmela, Cyber Security Director for the Enterprise Customers Division at T-Mobile.
The service functions as an add-on to standard voice and data tariffs. Upon activation, all data traffic is automatically routed through security elements in the operator's network. This solution eliminates the need for configuration by corporate administrators or end-users. If a threat is detected, the system immediately notifies the user and records the event in the overview.
The package also includes an analytical tool for the My Company portal or the My T-Mobile application. Fleet managers have access to reporting on security events for individual phone numbers. This overview allows companies to monitor the effectiveness of security and evaluate the risks their employees face when working in the field.
The Inline Security service is offered for a monthly fee of CZK 29 excluding VAT per active number. Activation takes effect immediately via the operator's self-service channels and applies to the use of mobile data within the T-Mobile network.
