The management of the Prima media group is expanding with a new managerial position. Jan Vlček takes up the newly established position of Executive Advisor to the Board, bringing experience from the highest echelons of competing media houses to the group. Vlček will be responsible for the strategic direction of business and identifying new market opportunities within the group's entire portfolio.
The main focus of Vlček's work will be the development of business strategy across television, digital, and radio activities. The Prima Group expects this move to strengthen long-term partnerships and modernize existing business models. He will also focus on specific areas such as commercial strategy for sports content and the creative sales segment.
Jan Vlček is one of the most experienced managers in the Czech media market, with over twenty years of experience. In recent years, he held key roles in the competing Nova group, where he served as co-CEO. He subsequently moved into the structures of the parent company CME, where, from the position of Group Revenue Officer, he managed business strategies in six European markets. His professional career also includes experience in sales management at the BigBoard media house.
This strategic appointment indicates Prima's effort for a more aggressive approach in content monetization and the integration of sales channels. Vlček's engagement comes at a time when televisions are facing increasing competition in the online space and the need to transform traditional advertising models. The Prima Group is thus banking on proven know-how from the international environment to help stabilize revenues in a dynamically changing media environment.
