The Prima Group has unveiled its programming schedule for the upcoming autumn season. The main strategic novelty is the launch of the new Prima sport channel, which will begin broadcasting on August 17, 2026. The station is being created in cooperation with Perinvest Group and will build on the foundations of the existing Sporty TV. In addition to sports, the television primarily focuses on the crime genre, where it will double the number of premiere titles.
Successful detective projects are returning to broadcast. The second season of the series Kriminálka Slapy: Pod hladinou will start on August 26, followed on August 29 by an eight-part continuation of the series Zákony vlka starring Stanislav Majer. The genre will be complemented by the new Vraždy v Kutné Hoře featuring Eva Podzimková. Entertainment formats will include the third season of the psychological game Zrádci (Traitors), again hosted by Vojta Kotek at Křivoklát Castle.
“We are strengthening our own Czech production, expanding our offerings with the new Prima sport channel, and together with the prima+ platform, creating a modern media ecosystem,” stated Lukáš Kubát, CEO of the Prima Group.
The programming schedule also includes established titles. After a summer break, the family series Polabí returns on August 25, with Štěpán Benoni and Veronika Arichteva newly joining. The gastronomic segment will be strengthened by premiere episodes of Ano, šéfe! with Zdeněk Pohlreich, which return to screens after a longer break on August 27. Staples remain Show Jana Krause, Máme rádi Česko, Inkognito, and Prostřeno!.
The group announced a significant shift in its streaming platform, prima+. This autumn, it will feature exclusive content, including the original series My nejsme sekta (We Are Not a Cult) with Tatiana Dyková and Ivana Chýlková. The offering will be supplemented by the documentary series Experti na vraždy (Experts on Murders) and film co-productions, such as Jan Svěrák's new film Pět švestek (Five Plums). The Prima COOL channel will then focus on acquired titles, where the biggest draw is the return of the cult animated series Futurama with its new 11th season.
