The leadership of the Albert retail chain is undergoing a significant change. Petr Pavlík has decided to leave the position of CEO and is departing from the Ahold Delhaize group after twelve months at the helm of its Czech branch. The company announced this personnel change, stating that Pavlík plans to pursue his professional career outside the holding's structure.
Petr Pavlík was a prominent figure in Czech management within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) segment. Prior to his year as CEO, he worked at Albert from 2016 to 2020 as Senior Vice President for Commercial, Marketing, and Store Format. In the interim, he gained experience in other significant companies, holding top positions – he served as CEO of Stock Spirits Group and the online supermarket Rohlík.cz.
“Petr Pavlík led Albert with great energy and strong commercial expertise. We respect his decision to take another career step and wish him much success in the future,” said Claude Sarrailh, Ahold Delhaize’s CEO for Europe and Indonesia.
Given Pavlík's departure, the group had to immediately address the issue of leadership continuity. Albert has therefore initiated a process to find a new successor who will take over the management of one of the largest retail networks in the Czech Republic. Until a new permanent director is appointed, an experienced interim manager from within the group's structure will take over.
Jesper Lauridsen has been entrusted with the temporary leadership of Czech Albert. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for the Central and Southeast Europe region within the parent group Ahold Delhaize. The Czech environment is not new to Lauridsen; he successfully led the Czech Albert for a long period from 2013 until spring 2025.
