O2 TV s.r.o., the company behind the production of Oneplay Sport and Premier Sport channels, has initiated a comprehensive modernization of its facilities and program offerings. According to company director Marek Kindernay, this is one of the biggest transformations in the station's history, which is to be completed before the start of the upcoming season of the premier domestic football league, newly named Chance Liga.
A key point of the changes is the construction of a new television studio within the premises of the STAGES HOTEL Prague building. This modern space will have a capacity for 80 spectators in the auditorium, which will allow for more interactive public participation in broadcasting. The investments also include the creation of new editorial facilities and the complete relocation of the team to these premises. Work is expected to be completed within one month.
The technological and visual transformation will also affect established programs. The popular talk show TIKI-TAKA will be presented in a new form and will change its current environment. Marek Kindernay confirmed that new technological elements will be deployed in broadcasts, aiming to enhance the viewer standard of sports broadcasting.
“We have a really intense month ahead of us. A new studio, new facilities, the relocation of the editorial team, and a lot of details that need to fall into place. It will be a big step forward,” stated Marek Kindernay, director of O2 TV s.r.o.
In addition to infrastructure, the television station is also preparing content novelties. There are plans to launch entirely new programs that will complement the existing portfolio of Oneplay Sport 1 to 4 and Premier Sport 1 and 2 channels. The official start of the new Chance Liga season is being prepared by the television station in cooperation with the League Football Association (LFA) in the form of a special “opening event.”
The ongoing modernization follows dynamic changes in the market for sports broadcasting rights and aims to strengthen the position of the O2 group's channels in the premium sports content segment in the Czech Republic.
