Modern technology and data analytics are increasingly penetrating the water management sector. In this context, iVodárenství TV has launched a new internet portal that combines traditional television broadcasting with elements of artificial intelligence and real-time data from the water management and hydrology sectors. The platform's goal is to create a central information hub for experts and the public interested in infrastructure and climate resilience.
Editorial content focuses on daily news, field reports, and legislative changes. In addition to textual outputs, the video archive and live broadcasting play a key role, including documentaries, expert discussions, and educational series. The television broadcasting operator is AQUA content s.r.o., which holds a license from the Council for Radio and Television Broadcasting.
Real-time data and AI involvement
One of the main pillars of the new website is an interactive data dashboard. It allows users to monitor key indicators that have a direct impact on operational costs in water management and industry. The system visualizes spot electricity prices, the current Czech energy mix, emission allowance prices, and hydrological data such as river flows and drought status.
Automated monitoring of commodity prices and precipitation totals.
Daily energy overviews generated with the help of artificial intelligence.
Interactive graphs with automatic updates for television broadcasting.
Extensive bilingual dictionary of specialized water management terms.
Artificial intelligence is integrated into the system not only as an analytical tool for market data, but also helps with the processing of external materials. Companies and institutions can send press releases to the editorial office through a special interface, where AI assists with their editorial editing and translation of specialized terminology.
Broadcast graphics for other media
The project also offers outreach to other production companies and television studios. The platform includes a program interface for automated broadcast graphics. This allows current data on river navigability or energy to be taken in graphical form directly into the broadcasting systems of other media or for expert conferences.
“It connects the world of television, online media, open data, and artificial intelligence into one environment that serves experts and those interested in modern infrastructure,” the operator states regarding the new portal.
The technical solution and development of the new platform are provided by pHmedia Czech Republic. The new portal aims to become a key tool for the digitalization of expert journalism in a sector closely related to energy security and environmental protection.
iVodárenství TV, which broadcasts in MULTIPLEX RS 11, is watched by almost 90,000 viewers weekly.
