According to the latest data from the Radioprojekt survey for the last quarter of last year and the first quarter of this year, purely digital stations in the Czech Republic are building a stable listener base. The public broadcaster Radiožurnál Sport maintains a dominant position among stations without FM transmitters, attracting 72,000 listeners daily. In weekly terms, its reach extends to 393,000 people, thereby confirming its role as the most-listened-to entity in DAB+ digital networks.

In the commercial sector, the station Český Blaník is performing very well, becoming the second most successful purely digital station. It is tuned in daily by 42,000 people, with its weekly audience reaching 107,000 listeners. In daily data, it thus overtook its direct competitor, Český Impuls. The latter recorded daily listenership of 32,000 people, but in terms of weekly reach, with 125,000 listeners, it still maintains an edge over its rival. Český Impuls, in addition to modern DAB+, also remains faithful to broadcasting on medium waves.

The category of genre-oriented radios shows balanced results. Hitrádio 90 and Rock Radio Stage attract around 30,000 listeners daily (32,000 for Hitrádio 90 and 30,000 for Rock Radio Stage). Oldies Rádio follows closely behind, with 26,000 people tuning in daily in the first quarter of this year. A smaller but stable market share is held by the music station Helax, with daily listenership of 10,000 people and a weekly reach of 33,000 individuals.

The current measurement for the first time also includes the results of the station Gold Impuls, which launched in late August last year. As a newcomer to the digital broadcasting market, it recorded daily listenership of three thousand people in the first quarter of 2026. Its data refer exclusively to the beginning of this year and represent the first official indicator of this project's success.

It should be emphasized that the total number of digital radio listeners is in reality higher than official statistics indicate. Many other stations broadcasting in DAB+ technology are not part of the Radioprojekt measurement, and their listenership therefore remains unknown. Nevertheless, the data confirm that digital platforms enable the emergence and viability of narrowly focused programs that were previously absent in the analog FM band.
