České Radiokomunikace (CRA) announced a significant strengthening of its artificial intelligence infrastructure. The company has acquired five new NVIDIA DGX B300 servers for its data centers, which utilize the latest Blackwell chip architecture. This acquisition follows the April installation of the first wave of AI hardware, making CRA the first entity in the Czech Republic to deploy this technology.

The new servers represent the pinnacle of computing power designed for training and running large language models as well as complex data operations. Each of the five acquired machines is equipped with eight NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra graphics processors. In total, CRA's infrastructure gains 40 new GPU units with a total memory of 10.5 TB. The performance of a single server reaches up to 144 PFLOPS in FP4 precision, making these devices some of the most powerful systems available on the market.

“Securing the latest AI hardware today is not an easy discipline. There is enormous global demand for the top-tier NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, and ensuring supplies represents a considerable negotiation and logistical challenge,” stated Petr Holý, CRA’s CTO and CEO of its subsidiary Cloud4com.

According to company management, the demand for AI computing power is growing faster than originally anticipated. This is why the company decided on another massive investment in hardware, which is located directly in its own data centers. This local infrastructure model is, according to Holý, key to ensuring security when processing critical and extensive data operations that could be risky in third-party clouds.

Through these steps, České Radiokomunikace are positioning themselves as a key provider of ICT and cloud services specializing in demanding technological projects. Together with its subsidiary Cloud4com, they are expanding their portfolio of services for companies that require high performance for deploying generative artificial intelligence in a corporate environment.
